Good first impression!

5 out of 5 stars

Good first impression!
Picked this up ahead of a late fall overlanding/car camping trip with expected night time temperature around 32F. While I do have a 0F sleeping bag, we know those ratings are closer to absolute limit and not necessarily “comfort” temp. Sleeping bags will also take awhile to warm up with body heat, and any wind drafts/gaps will quickly become uncomfortable (especially the darkest hours around 5-6am). This was so cheap, it was a no brainer to give it a shot. I figured I can use this as a sleeping bag liner of sorts, and/or a blanket layering system when it’s not as cold. I’ve only tested it out at home thus far, but I’m very satisfied with it. The trick is to use a layer system just like dressing for the cold; Put another layer on top of this heating blanket and you’ll be so toasty. Yes, you can feel the wires inside the fairly soft fabric if you’re feeling around for them, but not when it’s just on you. The amp / wattage draw is very reasonable at ~3.42 amp / 41watt. It can easily be powered by a 250watt portable power station for 6 hours, which should be enough for what I need. It heats up within a few minutes too! Most vehicles will have ~600watt battery, but you should not discharge more than ~40% to make sure you can still have enough voltage to start the car. Simple math means you’ll have about 240watts, and should not plug into a vehicle’s starter battery for more than 6 hours if it’s not running. As others have said, no on/off switch or temperature adjustment, but it’s easy enough to wire a switch myself, so I’ll be doing that. On a slightly side note, I’d recommend car campers/overlander to pick up a 500watt+ power station and charge the power station throughout the day with the vehicle running or solar.

I bought this heated car blanket for cold mornings on the road and for camping trips when the evenings get chilly. I wanted something compact I could plug into the car and still have warmth for both front and back seats. The fleece throw is lightweight and folds up easily, with a red plaid look that fits in with the camping vibe without looking like a bulky gadget. It measures about 59 by 43 inches, which gives plenty of coverage without taking up a ton of space.
In everyday use it works as expected. I plug the 12-volt cord into the cigarette lighter and the blanket heats up quickly, staying warm until I unplug. The cord is long enough to reach all seats, so back seat passengers can stay comfortable on long trips without crowding the driver. It’s soft against the skin and the thin heating wires keep the heat steady without being overwhelming.
What stood out is how convenient it is to move between vehicles or into the RV when we stop for breaks. It’s lightweight, folds into a compact bundle, and the included storage case with handles makes it easy to stash in a trunk or camping bag. The warmth is reliably cozy, and I appreciate not having to run the car heater at full blast.
One small caveat is that it needs to be plugged in to stay warm, and the care is spot clean only not machine washable, so a quick wipe is all you get. Still, given how quickly it heats up and how well it covers the lap or seat, I’m happy with the purchase. Overall it earns a five star rating.

I bought this blanket as a gift for my wife and myself as well. That's because when I'm nice and comfy cool traveling in our car, she's usually cold. She'll plug this thing up and be covered up, warm and dozing off for a nap within ten minutes. It's plenty warm, but not too warm even though there's no heat control at all. She loves it and it's going into its sixth year of use without a single problem. It's been worth every cent so far and I would purchase another one just like it if it did fail to work.

This isn't something to write home about, it is nice and works.
    Cons:
It is thin (but is warm as a blanket)
Can feel the wires in the blanket (doesn't really bother me)
    Doesn't heat up super fast.
    Doesn't get crazy warm.
You NEED to unplug it when you leave the car 🙄 I have a major squirrel brain at times.
    Pros:
Soft and can be used as a regular blanket
    Easy to spot clean
Size is very decent, it is not very small. Think throw blanket size.
    Gets the job done.
If you want something that is going to work fast and get HEAT then you will probably have to spend the money to get something nicer. But for how much it costed and just needing a little extra wormth in the cold weather this is not a bad product. It could also be my car outlet/lighter that doesn't have the greatest strength and I have yet to try it in another vehicle.

For the price you get what you paid for. The blanket feels thick and definitely can hold heat in.
It doesn’t get very warm as others mentioned.
I tried using it as a lay on blanket, covering myself with a large comforter. Not effective.
The best way to be warmed is to be underneath the warming blanket and top it off with another big blanket.
Because it can warm you up I’m giving it five stars.

    Lightly heated car blankets.
Good for a crisp autumn ride in a Jeep.
These are great low wattage blankets. We use them in our camper with an adapter. The take very little power from the generator. If they are not warm enough, put another blanket on top of it.
    Very good.

I did a search on USB electrical blankets. This was the top seller. But I failed to realize this is NOT USB powered.
That is fine for my use because my ancient 2023 American made vehicle still has the "obsolete lighter outlet" (journalists words, not mine). I was reading that many new cars do not even have this "feature" any longer.
As far as usability, it does NOT have a setting switch for warm or hot. It's just plug and play.
Seems to take a good 10 minutes to heat up and then it's not a toasty hot heat, it's just mediocre. I suppose it will suffice for now.
I can't say I would buy it again. I will go ahead and keep it, but it's not a 5 star product. I would definitely search more and probably pay more for a USB product that had a high rating if I ever need another one.

This blanket works great! I purchased it for the winters since I have a soft top Jeep wrangler. It’s become an essential item for cold winter days. Easy plug in, takes about 3-5 minutes to really heat up. It’s very soft and warm.

I've tried this blanket twice. 1st time I would say temperatures were in upper 30's to low 40's. I stayed comfortably warm by layering. I was inside a sleeping bag for temperatures in the 50 degree range, the blanket on top and then a Del Mex Classic Mexican blanket on top. Slept through the night waking up warm.
2nd time trying temperature was upper 40's to low 50's. Actually turned off because I was hot. Same layering approach.
Both times using the blanket I used a EcoFlow Delta 2 for charging capabilities. The display showed the watts being used at 45-50 and it allowed for 18 hours of use.

At first I thought it want working properly, or just not very warm. After 10 mins plugged in I noticed no real difference, but I read if you sandwich it between layers it traps the heat. So sleeping in my van, I put it on top of my sleeping bag, with a fleece blanket on top of it, and bingo! It was well toasty! Only problem was I was so snug I didn't want to get up in the morning lol.

Great electric blanket for camping. Quick to warm up and helps keep you toasty through out the night. I sleep in my swag with this blanket, and even in -4C frosts I have been comfortable through the night. I don't like sleeping in heavy and restrictive sleeping bags, so this is great just with a sleeping matt and doona. Been very happy with this purchase and it has been away camping with me for many nights through the cooler nights in Victoria. I think anyone with a camper trailer or caravan would be even more impressed.

ET): U=12,2 V, I=3,3A.
