Oman is set to launch its first communications satellite, OmanSat-1, in partnership with Airbus Defence and Space, marking a major step in digital sovereignty and space capabilities. The satellite will expand secure communications across Oman and the region, support critical sectors, and develop local expertise, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 to drive technological independence and a knowledge-based economy.
