World War II Navy veteran Ira “Ike” Schab, a survivor of the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack, has died at 105. Schab, who rarely spoke of the attack for decades, became a vocal advocate in recent years for honoring fellow survivors. His passing leaves only about a dozen Pearl Harbor survivors remaining.
