Nepal has objected to India and China’s plan to conduct the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Lipulekh Pass, asserting the territory belongs to Nepal based on the 1816 Treaty of Sugauli. Kathmandu stated it was not consulted and has conveyed its position to both nations, urging them to cease activities in the disputed region.
